Every one hundred hours, or every year, which ever occurs first, is required in wire replacement.  Furthermore, anytime there is a good whack, or a question regarding frame damage, a full sail removal would be required for a comprehensive airframe inspection.   At 17,999 ft, the last thing that should cross your mind is the thought of any dings in your leading edge, or crossbar from that last landing, or rough road to launch may have caused.
