$715 for the Hang I, Beginner package.
This includes 6 lessons, and the Hang I, Beginner Rating, log book and the United States Hang Gliding Association decal. The purpose of the Hang I rating is to ensure that the student understands the basics of foot launch flight. This includes understanding the weather conditions to fly in, or not fly in; Setup and preflight of the glider, Proper ground handling of the glider,and correct launch and landing techniques. Passing the practical and written exam is only the beginning of becoming a proficient, and skillfull hang gliding pilot.

$1170 for the Hang II, Mountain package.
This includes 10 lessons, and the Hang II, Novice Rating, log book and the United States Hang Gliding Association decal. By achieving the Hang II rating, the student has displayed the competancies of the Hang I student, but has proved that he/she can safely foot launch, perform cordinated turns, set up a proper landing approach, and land confidently in a predetermined area. By passing the Novice test, written and practical, the student has proven they have enough knowledge to exercise good judgement in determining when to fly, and when not to. In addition, has demonstrated that they have the ability and skills to fly at places, such as Point of the Mountain, unsupervised, without risking themselves or others.

All ratings are based on an average progression of a typical student, and average weather conditions. Some students may require more lessons than offered in the lesson program to achieve their rating(s). If the student purchases any lesson program, he/she has one year to complete from the date of purchase.

Items to bring and wear on the day of lessons: warm, layered clothing. Boots with ankle support. Long pants. WATER!

All hang gliding equipment is provided. If you have a special helmet that your fond of, bring it, otherwise, a helmet will be provided.
